  Do you have transparency on? Uberbox is based on broambox, broambox had a weird drawing bug with transparency. Disable any transparency on it and see if that fixes it.

No transparency. I actually don't even see that there is an option for it in the menu or the rc.

there should be a file called broambox.rc in the uberbox folder. Try setting:
broambox.borderWidth: and broambox.bevelWidth: to 0.. Keep in mind that the style setting of uberbox effects how it's going to look in bbi. for example, if blackbox is set to border the toolbar at 2, then bbi will also border at that amount and uberbox will use the border of 2 as well. So, your border thickness will be doubled. Hope that makes sense. So if you set the above mentioned to 0, then uberbox should look fine. I didn't mean I couldn't find the rc, I meant there wansn't an option for the transparency in the rc.
And I've tried all the different style settings and multiple bevel thicknesses. Right now I've got border and bevel both set to 0, and style set to toolbar. These do fine when loaded on it's own, but when it's in the slit or bbi, it gets a white text background with the thick black border. The settings stay the same, it just looks different. Here is is loaded on it's own, outside the bbi frame:

Do you havbe transparency on the BBI Frame? I'm telling ya, that bug is notorious with transparency on Broambox based plugins [someday, I'll figure out why..] Somewhere there's transparency, I can smell it!

Nope, no transparency anywhere...at all. I don't much care for it.
BTW: BBZCmdEx does the same thing. And so does Broambox. I guess they're all that way. What the heck? Is this just me? _________________ Popularity is a social disease. |

ive come up with a sloppy hack to fix the wierd drawing when slitted in a bbi frame
heres my broambox.rc Code: #UberBox #Position and size broambox.x: 0 broambox.y: 0 broambox.width: 80 broambox.inslit: true broambox.style: toolbar broambox.borderWidth: 22 <-- broambox.borderStyle: none broambox.bevelWidth: -24 <-- broambox.autohide: false this cuts off the top and bottom black lines so it looks at least half decent in a frame Attachments:
