Uhm, that doesn't make any sense. A) It's already distributed as an EXE, and b) why would you want a user-unfriendly format? What would that be anyway? An encrypted file without the keys?

I'm sorry, but that's total rubbish. How's 7zip any less user-friendly than zip? Because you may have to install the 7zip program? It's a free software and easily found on the internet. And since we are talking self-extracting archive here, not even that's necessary, so I really fail to see your point.

It seems you haven't realized yet how BB installation works. ALL versions require you to run the Install file to set bb as your main shell (unless you use ShellOn or similar programs). What the utBox "installer" does is simply unpack the archive to a directory for you (whereas in the other zip-based "distribution" you do that manually). After that, it's all the same - you can either just run bb on top of explorer, or install it as your main shell.

They do. They are just using a plugin, bbInterface, for the taskbar. In utBox, time is a bbInterface object, so you'll need to edit that if you want to change it. (Go to the Plugins directory, bbInterfaceMod, and edit bbInterface.rc. Scroll down to "!---- mainbar::time ----".)

I hope this clears up some of the confusion you seem to be suffering from. If not, keep asking.

Without having anything substantial to say, I'd just like to add that it's nice to see people making an all-in-one package for the shell that works right out of the box. Kind of surprised that a similar project hasn't been done before - or not this well, at least.

Something else - can you please explain what you have in the "Background" section of your styles? I needed a wallpaper load with the style (for the bbWorkSpaces plugin) so I inserted the command there as seen below, had to do it before what you put in the file because otherwise it wouldn't work - which suggests that I now have disabled your command. Doesn't seem to have any ill effect, but maybe I just haven't encountered it yet.


bbCalendar is still not loading - error registering window class. Maybe I'm doing something wrong, so how is this supposed to work with utBox?

"Alt Gr" keys don't work with utbox 1.6, but they worked with 1.5, what is the solution?
