 Re: SystemBarEx
hi I'm testing systembarex at the moment...
Is there an option to enable "drag&drop"? (like the explorer behavier) I want drag items from my file browser on a task so that it brings this program to front and I can drop the items there
... if this isn't possible I'm forced to go back to bbleanbar or similar bars
(sorry for my bad english)

 Re: SystemBarEx
Currently or as of this writing, SystembarEx has no drag&drop features. However dragging a file item over a task icon in the SystembarEx taskbar will bring that window to the foreground - you can't drop it on the task but you can drop it on the window that comes to the fore.

I'm using SystemBarEx 2.2 beta loaded in a BBInterface-Frame ... are you using a newer/different version? edit: found a solution -> viewtopic.php?f=3&t=1100The version on the Plugin Page (18.03.2004) doesn't supports dragging, but the Test-Version (14.07.2004) does.

 Re: SystemBarEx
Yeah, the version on xoblite's plugin page is not the latest and in fact has a few bugs in it that were fixed in the last build that BladesTaylor made. Don't know why it's never been updated on xob's plugin page, maybe it's because it's not compatible with xob so qwilk has no way to test? Anyway, you are correct you have to be using the July 14, 2004 build from this page to get the drag&drop feature I spoke about.

 Re: SystemBarEx
I don't think qwilk is adding/updating plugins that are not compatible with xoblite. If I hadn't broken the module site that was on boxshots with the last move almost a year ago we'd have another repository, but after loosing al lthe admin code I was too heart broken to re-implement it all from scratch.. Okay, maybe I was lazy, but that's not the point..

 Re: SystemBarEx
As I said here http://www.lostinthebox.com/viewtopic.php?p=19897#p19897 with the lastest SystemBarEx build I can't display correctly task icon 32 sized , neither with the 0525 build. But with an older build, 0318, icon are displyed correctly at that size!!

The reason I never updated the xoblite.net plugins page back in 2004 was that the later builds were (as evidenced by the URL) test builds and not official releases. By now we know that an "official" release never appeared, however there's also another issue in that the changes.txt was not updated after the March 18th 2004 build. That said, I guess I could now bundle up the support files from Test-0318.zip with the updated files in Test-0714.zip - if you all think that build is working well or at least better than the last "official" release. What do you think? BR//Karl -> qwilk

 Re: SystemBarEx
let me just say first that i'm a huge systembarex fan because it's really much more features rich that bbLeanbar and way more customizable... but there is just one thing that i dont seem to get... is it's just me or systembarex it's not implemented with the the border syntax or am i wrong? for example i defined in my style: toolbar.windowLabel.borderWidth: 1 toolbar.windowLabel.bordercolor: #000000 and i choose the pressed style as: Window Label... but there is no border on the pressed task. and i tried this on bbLeanBar... and it has border... so there's something wrong with systembarex.. can it be fixed or modified? and one personal dilemma... how come for the both bbLean Mods: bbClean and bbLeanMod the authors didn't choose to modify systembarex[which i think is best bbBar] and choose instead bbLeanBar which is simpler and has not so many features as systembarex?

You are correct that those toolbar.windowLabel settings do not produce a border on the active task on SystembarEX. You will also find that other plugins don't cooperate by drawing their borders to Blackbox 0.07 style syntax settings. But, that doesn't mean that you can't define a border around them. The following should say it all: Code: ! -------- MISC. -------- *.borderColor: #000000 *.borderWidth: 1 BTW, bbLeanBar, as the 'Lean' would imply, is probable not going to be adding a great deal of bells and whistles to it

 Re: SystemBarEx
they chose to modify bbleanbar because it comes as a standard plugin for bblean.

 Re: SystemBarEx
Code: -------- MISC. -------- *.borderColor: #000000 *.borderWidth: 1 still doesnt help... i want a border to the active task only.. that means the style assigned to the Pressed syntax of the SystemBarEx must have border cause i dont want to draw a border around the whole plugin. Could this be fixed? Well, as you can see in this screen shot, it is possible. However, the precise conditions for it to happen elude me. It may only be possible on certain texture settings or any of a number of other circumstances. But seeing is believing and you can download my style as proof. dpcdpc11 wrote: ... Could this be fixed? It could be, but it probably won't be. BladesTaylor (the developer) has not been around for quite some time and the source code is not available to the public at large as per BladesTaylor's wishes. So, it is highly unlikely that any new versions of the plugin will be released. Then again anything's possible

Did you download the style from the screen shot I linked above? Under my own observations, you cannot always get the effect but only under certain style conditions. However, it is indeed the wildcard settings that do the job - again refer to the style from the screen shot to prove this for yourself. EDIT 1: It appears that you must make the toolbar.windowLabel texture 'flat solid' for this to work - I suggest you try that setting. EDIT 2:It also appears that you must make the toolbar 'flat solid' in conjunction to the toolbar.windowLabel texture setting to get the effect.
