Intermediate updated version (see changelog and docs for details).

I realized that earlier versions didn't restore focus after closing the dialog. This release fixes that and adds some minor features and fixes.

Warning: Zip contains a bbrun.rc as an example. Be careful not to overwrite yours.

Nice to see this plugin still under development.

Wish I could style it though!

Ooh one thing...could you please add manifest.xml support with the program? I did it with reshack, but it would be nice if it would be integrated in future releases. :)
(manifest.xml just allows visual styles to be applied...stylized buttons and stuff. I don't have a single button, I reshacked it so there's only a text box, but still)

Nice way to say thank you. "Oh! Thanks for the Ferarri you gave me. I chopped it into a couple of pieces and hit it a couple of times with a hammer. Oh, besides, have you got any spare wiper blades?" :P

 Hey, if I didn't love it so much, I wouldn't bother and go for your minimal easy-run - only reason I use it is because it rawks. :P

lol... that's a good one. Anyway, no problem at all, and /\/\ has a philosophy of windows usage alot like mine, so it's a like a honour ;)
/\/\inimal: Didn't know about that... I'm gonna take a look. Is just that file? Could you do it and post it? Does it implies rewriting part of the code/resources? You say that you wiped out most controls with rh. I'd like to do that in future releases, just current dir and input box, even less prefixes for aliases, no '*' prefix but F-keys or 'ctrl+'modes instead... that could be a bit disappointing for some ppl but I'm trying to figure out a way to make it and keep everyone happy. :)

Sure, manifest.xml is a file yeah, but you don't need to rewrite anything. See this article: http://www.codeproject.com/cpp/xpstylemfc.asp

Here's mine with a screenshot.

And I think that idea is awesome. You could maybe have it as an alt version, to keep both ppl happy.

You mean folders, drives, etc? (like c:\)
If so, bbRun doesn't send anything to explorer but to the windows shell, which decides according to what's inside the registry.
example:
    [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Folder\shell\open\command]
    @="%SystemRoot%\Explorer.exe /idlist,%I,%L"

I'm not very much into this. If you want to try, you need a file manager accepting the required command line parameters, but y'know be careful with the registry. ;) (export key before changing something, etc.)

Here's another example:
