 Updated Release
Download the latest release here
Here's an updated official release. Added a readme for qwilk
Fixes the bug that I said wasn't a bug about going from lowest to highest resolutions. Adds the ability to turn of the cycling via broam. That's mainly it.
I did start on the multimonitor capable version. Will pick at it here and there. Don't expect it any time soon though

ooo great stuff. how about adding a broam that lets you enable and disable monitors aswell, and a feature to set the primary monitor.
this would be useful as i find i have to change primary monitors quiet often as many programs only allow you to play full screen content on the primary monitor (for example directx).
Code: @changeres [monitor] toggle Enables/disables specified monitor.
@changeres [monitor] primary Sets specified monitor as the primary monitor

I'll look into how easy that will be to setup. The multimon stuff in general is pretty easy so it shouldn't be a problem, but I'd rather not eat my foot

LOGIC BUG! DOWNLOAD NEW BUILD HERE
So 10 months later...
This should be multi monitor friendly, unfortunately I don't have that kind of setup at home and so I wasn't able to test the functionality explicitly. However, it should work
You break it, you buy it! But I'm expecting it to work without a hitch.
There are a couple things missing that I had hoped to include. The reslist idea from paegus and the multimon toggle. The first I just didn't want to do right now, but figured this was still worth the release. The later is just more of a pain in the ass then I thought it was going to be. I'm still working on it, but...
Readme included!

Thanks for this Brian.
Currently in a different location so without my multimon for now, but I'll try when I can.

How do you specify what monitor to change? I've tried 1, 0, monitor1, monitor.1 but nothing happens.

Well it should have been a simple number, but to do a logic bug (logically I forgot to put in the code for up/down on specific monitors) it wasn't working
New build below that should allow
@changeres <int> up
@changeres <int> down
And integers are 1 based (thought that would be more logical), so monitors start at number 1 nor number 0

I finally got to my multimon place and tested the v1.2 then.
Unfortunatelly the plugin couldn't change any res on the second monitor. #1 was working fine (using "@changeres 1 down"), but not #2 ("@changeres 2 down").
Not sure yet why as there was no message or anything. Just no reaction. I'll try to do some testing with v1.0 and maybe some rebooting when I'll be done with my work :)
Tcho,
Ker

Hmm.. I was afraid that might happen. The code looks solid, but not having multimon myself (at home) it's hard to test. I'll see if I can get some time tonight at work to test it some more, have a multimon setup there.
Try putting your mouse on the second monitor and just doing a @changeres down and tell me if that works please

Cheers Brian,
I did test sending the bro@m from the second screen but to no avail.
However it worked when I did the reboot. So it looks like the plugin needs to be loaded after the multi-mon has been setup.
Not really willing to have to reboot everytime I move around and changing from a single-mon to multi-mon I thought reloading the plugin may have the same effect, and it did.
So if it is amended to take that into account it'd be nice, but it's not a show stopper seeing that reloading the plugin sorts this out (i.e. mapping the bbKey or whatever else to a script reloading the plugin first then piping to the @changeres bro@m)
Tcho,
Ker

I'll see if there is a windows message I can read that tells me monitors have been added/removed and update accordingly. Thanks for the heads up! I wasn't able to test a work yesterday (pulling cable through the ceiling by hand since some one broke my cabling gun blows!) so this is extremely helpful.

Wow tresni! This one would totally rock! That is, if it could avoid just using 8-bit modes which it does on my screen
I would like to see a list, somehow, with like prefered mode... Something like:
800x600x32@75
1024x768x32
1280x1024x32
On startup, the available display modes could be enumerated, and the closest possible match be applied to the list of these 3 items, and the up and down broams would navigate through this list rather than every available mode.
And i can once and for all kill every 8-bit mode known to man on my system
Excellent work here tho! Oh, and tres, if you wanna give me a hand with bbIME (for input language selection), get on IRC EfNnet, #codefreaks And, also, bbSetCursors is probably ready for public use now
Cheers,
Chris
