 Re: Fluxbox Screenshots Thread
I'll go first . . . My 2 most recent Fluxbox desktops: A Fluxbox build on Debian (testing) - with NO desktop environment. This one is the LinuxMint-Debian-Edition with Fluxbox added over Xfce. The Conky gives most of the pertinent system details.

Using tint2 as a pager Very nice Wheezy-Fluxbox layout. I've seen this wallpaper somewhere else. Hmm.I really like the 'idea' of using tint2 as the pager. Thanks for the fresh concept.

@ ElderV.LaCoste I have always liked your Fluxbox screenshots, help and ideas; over in the #!Crunchbang Forums. And the fact that you, like me, are an avid Fluxbox user. Thanks for joining the LostintheBox Forum.

 Re: Fluxbox Screenshots Thread
My latest Debian 7 Wheezy with Fluxbox WM. A basic fb-style I found; then, heavily modified by me. I changed everything. I tried to make everything (background, menu, fb-panel, conky, terminal, window-theme) to match in style and color.

Thanks for joining the LostintheBox Forum. Thanks for the kind words. I am indeed a Fluxbox enthusiast. It is nice to have a place to share ideas. pitkon wrote: And a great screenshot it is. I have a couple screenshots of the menu but I am still working on it because my sound in Crunchbang suddenly quit working and I tried everything and eventually ended up writing zeros to my hard drive and completely starting over with Xubuntu. It is not working as well on Xubuntu but I have sound now lol. If anyone can tell me how to get a "volumeicon" in the tray to adjust the sound I would really appreciate it. I can't seem to get volwheel to work. Is it possible to use a volume manager from Xfce? ******* Mod: You forgot to Log-in to the *box Forum.

Is it possible to use a volume manager from Xfce? I had to manually install "volumeicon" from Synaptic. Then, add " volumeicon & " to my ~/.fluxbox/startup After which, I did 'Reconfigure' from the Fluxbox Menu ... the volumeicon does show up in the systemtray of the fb-panel. Had to do the same thing to get the Network Manager icon/applet to show up in the systemtray.

Thanks Vrkalak. Great scrot by the way. Unfortunately volumeicon was not in the Xubuntu repository. I found the solution here (second post): http://forums.fedoraforum.org/archive/i ... 65803.htmlI just installed 'gnome-volume-control-applet' and put this in my Fluxbox start file: Code: gnome-volume-control-applet &

Did you change the colorscheme - if so, can you post the theme.cfg Working on a new theme - borrowing from the Zimek themes:

PackRat wrote: What was the original theme for this? Did you change the colorscheme - if so, can you post the theme.cfg Yes ... I changed (almost) everything in the "myDEFCON_1" fb-style, I found here > http://tenr.de/styles/And used this tutorial, as a guide for my fb-style customization > http://tenr.de/howto/style_fluxbox/style_fluxbox.htmlThere are only about 200 or so, fb-styles to choose from. And an infinite number of customization options.
