 whats the diff between 7.11 and 1.18rc2 versions?

Post whats the diff between 7.11 and 1.18rc2 versions?
Hi I am a bit confused about this bb4win_mod version as it seems to have two versions?! I have downloaded version 7.11.8.4 and like it a lot but what is version 1.18rc2 then?
oh it see its a bb4win_mod 1.19 merged with bblean 1.17 (bbmein)
but whats the difference? I mean between this merged version and just version 1.18 or 1.19 ? and why did you decide to merge them then?

  • version 1.19 has fully superseded 1.18, and is more flexible. 1.18 is simply there for the record
  • 7.11 has better memory handling & is more compact codewise. It, however, is missing the following features
    • 4-colour Split gradients
    • Wild card paths for icons (that means icons have to be individually selected in your menus (a side effect of the new menu code)
    • National Language Support - meaning you can't customise the default messages into your local language
  • read the Changes section in the Documentation for more info on the differences ;)
  • certain of the older plugins perform better on 1.19 than on 7.11 - due to having been written on an older codebase
