 BBrssfeed
Quote: It is an RSS reader for blackbox Hi guys, there's a new plugin of mine. It is an RSS reader for blackbox. It's very early version so there's not many features yet. But I'll try to continue in development. Download as usual @ http://pitris.me.cz/?view=BBleanFAQ[mod. Moved and given the usual formatting. ]

 Re: BBrssfeed
That is all kinds of awesome. I can't seem to change the feeds though. They won't update.

 Re: BBrssfeed
That's weird. Even if you choose "Force Update!"?

 Re: BBrssfeed
Yeah. I put the default feeds back on it and it updated a few times but now it's been blank for about 30 minutes. Force update doesn't appear to be working...
What if, instead of the vertical lines separating the feeds, you gave each rss feed its own list window? Does that make sense?

 Re: BBrssfeed
It seems to me intermittent. But some feeds won't work at all. Is there any way to make it ignore (or maybe support) html links? example image

Try this modification, I've change HTTP requests a little bit, but I'm nearly 100% sure it won't help... http://pitris.me.cz/programs/nightly/bb ... 0.0.1n.zipcthu1hu wrote: What if, instead of the vertical lines separating the feeds, you gave each rss feed its own list window? Could you send me the links to those feeds, which don't work? I'll try to examine the XML format. cthu1hu wrote: Is there any way to make it ignore (or maybe support) html links? Neither ignore nor support. But I plan to add some ignoring/filtering feature.

The update didn't have any effect. Here's a feed that doesn't work: http://www.digg.com/rss/index.xmlQuote: I'd like to stay in one window... Maybe separate feeds in a different way? I was thinking like this, with each feed getting its own list window, but I'm just throwin' ideas at you. image link

 Re: BBrssfeed
I've reuploaded the build 0.0.1n, use the same link as last time. This should solve the digg problem. cthu1hu wrote: I was thinking like this, with each feed getting its own list window, but I'm just throwin' ideas at you. I like your screenshot, this is a good idea, but it would be more difficult to paint it and then scroll it. But I'll think about that.

 Re: BBrssfeed
COOL plugin pitris ! Unfortunately, it doesn't work with Craig's List: http://tampa.craigslist.org/zip/index.rss cthu1hu wrote: I was thinking like this, with each feed getting its own list window, but I'm just throwin' ideas at you. If you haven't tried it already, just setup multiple instances of the plugin by copying the DLL and RC files to seperate directories. Example plugins.rc: Code: # --------------------------------------------- # styled RSS feeds on your desktop
plugins\bbRSSfeed1\bbRSSfeed.dll
plugins\bbRSSfeed2\bbRSSfeed.dll By positioning and other settings in each of the instances RC files, you should be able to archive close to what you want with the current build.

 Re: BBrssfeed
I've added support for RSS 1.0 feeds. Download it again and try if it works for you. BTW, does anyone know about RSS 1.0 DTD (based on RDF)? I didn't find any...
