 Force shutdown screen annoyance
Hi all,
I've been running 1.17 x64 for a few months now after upgrading to windows 7 ultimate from xp without any issues apart from one which can be a tad annoying at times: If, because of say an app with unsaved data, on shutdown/logoff I get the modal screen asking me to either "force shutdown/logoff" or "cancel" the latter does not work. I tried tinkering with some options or enabling/disabling plugins (I only run bbKeys and bbLeanBar anyhow) to no avail - is there some sort of workaround for this or should I just live with it?

 Re: Force shutdown screen annoyance
Might as well give a shot at bumping this up in case someone has encountered this by now.

 Re: Force shutdown screen annoyance
I think that I might have the same issue on Windows XP. At times the shutdown procedure is paused until I manually close ANY open applications, which can include seemingly harmless instances of notepad and explorer, but at other times they are all closed for me by the system. I never managed to solve it, so I decided to live with it.
I have had this issue for a long time and it seems related to Blackbox, but not to a particular version of it. Also, sometimes it was a blessing in disguise, when I forgot to save an important document before shutting down my PC.

 Re: Force shutdown screen annoyance
Well that's the thing see: the cancel button doesn't work so I can't get back and save whatever document was open that caused the modal screen to come up in the first place.

 Re: Force shutdown screen annoyance
Switching workspaces works for me when this bug crops up. The "Force" screen remains on the originating workspace, giving me a free desktop. bblean 1.17.1, 64-bit.
