Blade did give the source to someone at one time. I believe qwilk has it. Doubt he'd ever release it though.

Re: bbSystemBar|bbLeanBar
The key to using wxdevC++ is to use a custom makefile - usually called makefile-gcc. The makefile automatically generated by DevC++ (all versions) for MingW will not compile with bb4win code (& never has).

Re: bbSystemBar|bbLeanBar
well, i have messed around with bblean source code (old version) and this one here yesterday but couldn't get it to compile with latest wxDev-C++. If someone gets me the latest bbClean source (noccys svn seems to be down) i will give it another try if the orig. devs (dont have time / passed out / insert-stuff-here).
(iam familiar with coding but am not a c++ guy).

Re: bbSystemBar|bbLeanBar
iam having the same problem with 32pixel icons: seems like the source of those are 16px only scaled up to 32px (unlike with bbcleans bbleanBar)
There is another thing which would make this one almost perfect: multiline tray-icons like in boxbar (especially in conjunction with 32px tasks and 16px tray icons)

Re: bbSystemBar|bbLeanBar
is there a way to make the icons at 32 px in the tasks field look as clear as they are at 16 px??

i would like to imitate the windows 7 look with those big icons and if i resize the tasks icons to something bigger than 16 px they get all pixelized and stuff and look just awful!

There is code to pick up a default icon - which works reliably in bbIconBox - but something slips through. Perhaps the overall code load is too intensive. :(

Re: bbSystemBar|bbLeanBar
Great updates! I typically use icons only for taskbar tabs, but this means it can be hard to see tabs for windows that have no icon. Is there anyway to set a generic icon for these to use in the bar?

Re: bbSystemBar|bbLeanBar
i have a problem with icons in bbSystemBar 1.25.4. I put the icon size at 32 pixels and appears pixelated. I cant find a way to make icons biger and make them looks good. I normaly use bbleanbar from bbclean and i do the same things and icons are right. I use bblcean.

bbUtils needs to be in the same folder as Blackbox.exe *before* blackbox.exe is running. bbUtils is *NOT* a plugin.

bbSystemBar IS a plugin, but will not load unless bbUtils (see above) is already loaded. Both items are linked to in the download post.

Re: bbSystemBar|bbLeanBar - Discussion Thread
The buttons take their styling from Toolbar Button in the current style. Even if ToolbarButton is parentrelatve, ToolbarButton uses toolbar.button.piccolor.

Re: bb4win_mod Discussion Thread
I have Systembar and SystembarEx side by side here... how can I make them look more alike? Specifically, how can I change the looks of the workspace button and of the clock for Systembar? I didn't see any options for that in the RC or in the help file. It would also be cool if there was a way to colour the arrows of the left/right buttons.

Re: bbSystemBar 1.25.4 - feature updates & bugfixes
  • 1.25.2
    • name change back to bbSystemBar
  • 1.25.3
    • alphaValue, iconSaturation & iconHue each now configurable on a 1->8 scale
    • bugfixes - marginWidth & borderWidth
  • 1.25.4
    • mouseover on WindowLabel now shows current style name & author
    • bugfixes - Tooltips colours

Make sure you have bbUtils.dll loaded in one of the following folders: bbSystemBar, blackbox.exe or the SystemDirectory.

This is in (partial) response to a multi-topic post here

I switched on arrow bullets but that setting doesn't seem to have an effect on the right workspace button. On the plus side, the left one now looks like a "minus" and the right one is a big plus.

Initially, placement wasn't working - when I expanded the width of the bar from 720 to 900, it all went to the right side. I had to manually drag the bar to the center, but when I did that it seemed to snap to the center.
Your new 0 - 8 system for adjusting alpha etc. is a bit unusual. I'm missing the the +/- buttons.
  • arrow bullets - fine tuning to come
  • ATM both Placement & Orientation need to be handled by using the RC file + Reconfigure. :( Naturally, this is not satisfactory, and all the "obvious" reasons have been checked. It is going to take a major trawl through the (not very simply laid out) code - as in taking it all apart completely - to identify the source(s) of the issue. Tentatively, this means after 1.18 goes "final"
  • The menu controls for numbers in plugins generally need looking at. How possible it is for them to use the same controls as are in the Core, I do not at present know.
