I havent used it with winlirc so Im not sure. Using mythbuntu you can configure the remote using a simple gui, I havent used it yet, so Im not sure how well it works. I edited the config files, and used the irrecord command without issues.

Here is my hardware.conf -

Hi all, First can i say that it looks great out of the box. All black and I think the bar at the side (vertical) with tray at the bottom and runnning app at the top is a neat idea and different. The only trouble is I would like it to be thinner in width and dont know how to change it? I can change the height easily, you just choose percentage size but how to change the width? As it takes up too much space when i am browsing the internet.

I don't know how thin you are talking but here's how I do it: I go to task configuration and reduce the icon size of tasks to 16 (it won't go under) then I to tray configuration>maximum columns and bring it to 1 (column). I unload boxbar and reload it. thats it( see image)

The bbleanBar gets completely dark. Also the Default Menu wont draw correctly any more. (see attached images).

Just to confirm, this was after you had unloaded boxBar (the default system bar) and loaded bbleanbar? Because most of the reports I've had of this type of problem have been with boxBar 0.1.4

Hello Casomyr! Box core rocks!
I'm having a little issue with boxcore 0.2.1 that has some similarities with bug quoted up. I'm using bcore with a netbook (atom n280) that came bundle with sp3. I've noticed that everytime I use bbstylemaker or that i shift from a style to another (this one happen 1 on 10 ) the menu turn completely black. In fact out the box, the first time I started bcore the menu turned black with the font in gray, I think it was because my menu was transparent. I don't use any bar plugin or toolbar, instead of the latter's I prefer to load a custom toolbar that I've build with bbinterface. Every thing works when I use bbstylemaker, even my custom toolbar except the menu that turns dark. To solve this I usually just restart boxcore or change style.Box Core rocks reminds me of blackbox on nix. I'm not fan of the vertical toolbar that's why I've waited so long to try box core.
Thanks

You are the man!

This is GREAT!!!!

If you provide us a place to donate, I'm sure there are some of us that wouldn't mind donating to the cause. It's nice to have a supported version!

Can someone please post a mirror of the boxcore package? The download keeps timing out for me.

EDIT: It works now.

Re: boxCore 0.2.1 (Works well with Vista)
For some reason the download links for this branch is not working for me. I can get to the boxCore homepage, but when I navigate to the downloads there it gives me a network timeout.

Re: boxCore 0.2.1 (Works well with Vista)
Ok, I understand that, but where (if any exists) can I find a 64bit version of bbleanskin that works with BoxCore?

In simple language, the codebase for the 64bit bbleanskin 1.17 - which uses MenuOption from bblean 1.17 - is significantly different from BoxCore. The only 64-bit bb4win flavour that it will work on at present is bbLean 1.17.

Re: boxCore 0.2.1 (Works well with Vista)
I would like to see a working bleanskin for boxcore aswell.
When I try loading a 64bit version I found, I get:
"The procedure entry point MenuOption could not be located in the dynamic link library blackbox.exe"

Any ideas anyone?

is there a working bb skin for vista 64bit yet?

There is a 64bit version of bbleanskin floating around somewhere, but I can't find it. You'd still have to overcome the 32bit/64bit skinning problem (discussed in the bbleanskin thread, I think).

And maybe implementing minimize to tray

There's a thirdparty app that allows you to minimize any window to the tray, I can't remember where that is and I've never used it.

Works fine but is there a working bb skin for vista 64bit yet? And maybe implementing minimize to tray and porting bbtray to 64bit with hide on empty option?

Re: boxCore 0.2.1 (Works well with Vista)
I've been watching a lot of videos lately, and I've noticed after I watch something in fullscreen with mpc, boxbar stops being in "always on top" mode.

Reloading the plugin fixes it, but its a bit annoying. Anything I can do to help you fix that? :)

p.s.: posting it here cause I dont know if aat is down to core or plugin.
