blackbox.desktop.LeftDoubleClick: ?

Oh yes, catching it was the best feature of Amiga DOpus 5. I would love to see it in BBClean.

I agree. I miss double clicking on the desktop to open DOpus.

I hope you managed to sort yourselves out by adding

blackbox.desktop.DblClick: "C:\Program Files\GPSoftware\Directory Opus\dopus.exe"
to extensions.rc

The only thing about this is, the Amiga double clickie was much better, it opened the window where the mouse pointer was. Unlike windows one, which only opens up a default box, usually at the other side of the screen.

Re: BBClean 1.16
Thanks again.
I'll try them all.

Re: BBClean 1.16
In your case, you would need to drop xoblite from the list.

All the others have their own versions of LeanBar, LeanSkin & IconBox. I would recommend that you substitute in the newer versions - particularly in the case of IconBox 1.16 (which also has a known memory leak). You should be able to swap in your old RC files for the ones that come with the packages without any problem.

I believe that the other two should work fine also - although I have barely used EdgeFlip.

You may find the icons & enhancement options in bb4win_mod more to your liking - as a bbClean user - than the more stripped-down bbLean 1.17.1. (Warning: I'm the Dev on bb4win_mod!) :D

Re: BBClean 1.16
unkamunka,
thanks for reply.

Which one could you call most similar/compatible to bbClean 1.16?
I'd like to keep all my settings unaltered, since I'm not too profound in the subj.
(I know that some plugins are incompatible).

Re: BBClean 1.16
All the 1.16 bb4win flavours have a known memory leak. The only (bb4win) way to avoid this is to use one of the following other shells, xoblite, bbLean 1.17.1 (without of with icons) or bb4win_mod|bbMien 7.11.

Re: BBClean 1.16
Hello,
I'm using bbClean 1.16 with plugins:
Attachment:
1_21.01_01.07.png
1_21.01_01.07.png [ 1.96 KiB | Viewed 749 times ]

My current memory usage is 11.688 KB
I think it's too much (is it?). I tried both original exe/dll resources and UPX-packed/unpacked: no drastic changes.
Can anyone share your experience/thoughts whether is it possible to reduce memory usage?

*also, I tried bbMemCleaner and bbMemLimiter plugins, but think they load processor unnecessarily.

Unforunately, noccy has since stopped development on BBClean, he is working on a new project called bbClean-ng.

Great pity - I am quite new to Blackbox and this is the best one that I tried and hope he carries on developing it or comes out with his bbclean-ng, what is that?
oh i see they have a web site for news and info on bbclean ng(next generation)

Re: BBClean (New mod)
I apologize if this has been asked before, but I have the latest release of BBClean, and I am not able to view hidden files and folders in my default menu.
I have the option enabled in Explorer, and I am wondering if there is a solution for this small problem.

Supposedly, but you know noccy -- start something and then abandon it indefinitely.

Not to dis him too much though. He's an incredibly smart guy and I miss chatting with him.

Re: BBClean (New mod)
Hi,

I'm trying bblean again after a long absence, and I was having trouble with my new install. I saw that I didn't quite have the newest version, so I downloaded the newest version of BBClean I could find. Thing is, when I was using the slightly older (or different? I thought it was an older version of BBClean but maybe it was a different mod) version, I noticed the bbLeanBar feature of double-clicking on a task in the bar to send it to the next Workspace. And you, the user, have the option of following that window automatically. I liked that combination of features. It was really easy to move windows that way.

Now, although the clicks on tasks in BBLeanBar are now configurable, I can't seem to get any nextWorkspace functionality, nor any double-click functionality. I tried "nextWorkspace", "nextDesktop" and "@bbcore.nextWorkspace", but no dice. That original bbLeanBar functionality seems to have been taken out.

Am I missing something? If not, will double-clicking on a task in BBLeanBar be reintroduced, as well as the option to send windows to the next workspace via clicking on the task in BBLeanBar?
