I'd have done the same thing if I'd have been in your place. Something doesn't seem to be working correctly in the plugin update database. I'll ask qwilk to look into it.

When changing bbLeanSkin builds, [b]always[/b] make sure that you change [b]both[/b] the bbLeanSkin.dll (or bbLeanSkinMod.dll) [b]and[/b] the bbLeanSkinEng.dll.

In your case, I would also suggest unloading bbLeanSkin, logging off & on (do not use the SwitchUsers option in WinXP) & then loading another version of bbLeanSkin. If you are having to uninstall xoblite, then something must be amiss with your basic setup.

I know that i have to run install and uninstall as administrator...

just learned though that to uninstall under vista i need to quit xoblite go to task manager and and from there run the uninstall bat file..

my probleme is that xoblite crashes when i load the bbleanskinmod xoblite stops to funktion and i have to close it, go to task manager and restart the blackbox.exe file.

it seems to me that the bbleanskinmod116M i newer then U and wanted to try it. as soon as i unloaded the 166U which im using now xoblite craches and again I have to reload blackbox exe.

for now the ONLY solution i have to update my bbleanskinmod is to uninstall xoblite install it from new load the new version of bbleanskinmod and then the rest of my plugins and so on...

i was hoping there was another way but perhaps its a specifik error for system hardware setup or something...

If you're going to use install_bat, then you need to right-click on that & choose Run as Administrator - just the same as if you were going to install from the xoblite menu.

Anything other than bbLeanSkin[b]Mod[/b] will not work on xoblite.

As long as any new version of xoblite is in the same folder as the old version, then there is no need to unistall & reinstall.

im not sure what you mean with default shell.. What i did was to in windows shell click the install bat file (ran it as admin) some menues appeard and then i went to regedit and edited the winlogon shell to point at blackbox.exe - for some reason the install didn't changed that... if thats defaul then yes :)

In my desperation i uninstalled xoblite and reinstalled it with no mod which did the trick and then i loaded the other plugins. But then here yestoday i wantet to try another version of bbleanskin but as soon as i unloaded the plugin the shell crashed on me. If I restart it all works again.

Though BBleanskin works now (it still makes graphics errors in like MSN when you move chat windows around your desktop og over other windows the top og the chat windows adopt some of the background from the window it was moved over, but i think this i a knowen bug) i have a problem as soon as a new version comes out since then i will have to delete the entire xoblite go back to windows shell install a fresh copy of xoblite and then add the new version og bbleanskin - so it would be REALLY nice if you could help me out here.

Hi all from what I get from this guys question is the same as the windows border thread. That you get all the XO graphics background and so on but as soon as i open IE or explorer or any other program using a windows window i get the Vista borders and not the BBleanskin borders that should match the XO design...

From the windows border thread where its a XP user who has the problem some suggest to switch to classic theme which i have allso tied without luck

as soon as i load the plugin BBleanSkin it craches on me. I right click me through the menues and load the plugin. My bar tells me the plugin is loading and i wait. when i loose pations i right click again to see if it running or anything and then it all craches on me and i get a windows error saying that blackbox.exe has stoped answering and if I want to wait for it or close it. If i close it the entire shell disapears the only thing i have is the background and i have to push ctrl+alt delete and start the blackbox.exe file again to get me XO shell running.

Anyone knows what is wrong?

Are you talking about bbleanskin? You should be able to use that without a problem with xoblite. I'm moving this thread to the xoblite forums too.

Hiya I recently went from BBlean to Xoblite on my Vista machine.
While bblean disguised the Explorer in the shells current style . I noticed Xoblite didn't after looking through it's various menus and what not.
While learning not to use Explorer is all well and good, programs that use the Explorer looks (like firefox) still suffer from a case of the ugly (especially since I changed to the 2000 theme so that bblean would like me)

SO the question.
Is there a plugin or something out there that will make Xoblite disguise Explorer on vista ? or should i just go back to BBlean ?
